so far we have got the main footage which is the chase scene recorded and uploaded onto the mac's, radhwaan has started editing the chase so we have enough time before we film the last bit of the crime drama which is the flash backs.
firstly, we have to add the title and credit sequence to the opening scene of the crime drama. i have watched many opening scene of different crime dramas to get ideas from, all we have to do know is choose which one is the best to put on our crime drama.

Change of plan
In media studies class today we had a discussion and thought about changing the jobs that the group are doing, so know the new roles of the group are:
Mohammed is doing the sound and music
Mariya is going to be doing the filming so she's going to be in charge of the camera whenever we take it out.
Radhwaan will be doing the editing
Filming the chase scene
on saturday 9th january 2010 all the group and the characters who are playing part in our crime drama met in front of the college where we had a small discussion about the location as we didnt know where to film the scene. finally we all had decided to film in the park as it was a good view and place for a chase to take place besides it was snowing quite a bit on that day which made it more ineteresting to film. we used all the different types of angles in the chase scene and some dialogues were said by the police officer. overall i think we did a great job but i think it could be improved a bit.
on friday all the group got together in media studies and decided to do the chase scene in the weekend, so radhwaan asked the teacher and took the camera home with him as he is the camera man in the group.
also we watched back the video that we had recorded which was the murder scene and everyone thought that it was not so good because it didnt look realistic so we will be doing it again in the weekend if everyone has the time.

shot 1
On Monday the 14th of December we finally taped our first bit of the crime drama which was the murder scene. We filmed inside the college, in a quiet room with tables, so it was very easy to get the different angles we needed e.g. birds eye view.
We got our actors together and completed the murder scene, ready to be edited. Although we never managed to film the bedroom scene which was meant to be shot on the same day as the murder scene due to character problems, but we still have enough time to do it later while we are doing the other scenes.

Filming- Planning
As the cameras could only be taken out twice, overnight and once on a weekend, as a group we have seperated the different shots into 3 different dates so we can film each scene.
we have chosen to do the bedroom scene and the murder scene first and then The Police officers flash back, part 1 in a office, part 2 in a house during the week.
On the weekend we will be doing The chase scene and The Criminals flash back scenes
The first two shots are the easiest tasks, which is why they will be done on a weekday, because of the limited amount of time we have to film on these days.

These are two ideas of prison break crime drama poster and dvd cover which i have chosen, that i think is suitable for our dvd cover. these are the covers of prison break:

This is the example DVD cover that i have chosen to do for our crime drama as this covers image shows a good stroy behind it. Also this cover shows almost what our crime drama is going to be about.
Linked Production
In my group each person has chosen to do a different individual piece of production for our crime drama.
Mariya has chosen to do the dvd cover, mohammed is doing the poster and radhwaan is doing another DVD cover for our crime drama.
i have chosen to do the series box cover of our crime drama which is called 'CHASE' this will include information about our first series and what will happen in it. it will also include original images of the people taking part in our drama. i willl make the series box cover on photoshop which will make the cover look exciting and interesting.
